The IPEX 36613 is a PVC Schedule 80 spigot x socket bushing designed to reduce a 1-1/2 inch pipe or fitting down to a 1-1/4 inch connection. Built to Schedule 80 dimensional and pressure standards, this bushing is manufactured from high-performance rigid PVC and is suited for use in industrial process piping, chemical handling systems, and potable water distribution. The smooth interior bore resists rust, scaling, and corrosion throughout its service life. Licensed plumbers and industrial piping contractors install this fitting as part of IPEX Xirtec PVC pressure piping systems where a spigot-to-socket reducing connection is required.
This bushing is used in residential and commercial plumbing as well as industrial process piping where chemical resistance and long service life are priorities. The Xirtec PVC system is engineered for applications involving acids, alcohols, alkalis, salt solutions, and halogens. It is well suited for chemical processing plants, water treatment facilities, and industrial installations where metal fittings are prone to corrosion failure. The fitting is produced to IPEX dimensional and performance standards as part of a fully integrated pipe, valves, and fittings system from a single manufacturer.
Designed for use within the IPEX Xirtec PVC Schedule 80 pipe, valves, and fittings system. Suitable as an OEM-style Schedule 80 PVC reducing bushing in systems requiring a 1-1/2 inch spigot to 1-1/4 inch socket reduction.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or industrial piping contractor in accordance with applicable plumbing codes, including the IPC where adopted. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing piping. Use only solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 PVC and follow the cement manufacturer's cure time before returning the line to service. Do not apply heat to this fitting to bend or adjust it.
