The IPEX 36355 is an 8-inch PVC Schedule 80 two-piece flange fitting designed for industrial and commercial piping systems. Built to Schedule 80 dimensional and pressure standards, this flange provides a robust, corrosion-resistant connection point in PVC pipeline assemblies. It handles a maximum service temperature of 140 degrees F under pressure conditions and up to 180 degrees F during intermittent gravity flow. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters install this fitting in chemical process lines, water treatment systems, and general industrial fluid handling applications where metal flanges are impractical or cost-prohibitive.
The 36355 is suited for industrial process piping, chemical distribution lines, and potable water systems. Its interior surface remains smooth across virtually all service conditions, resisting rust, pitting, scale, and corrosion. This fitting is listed with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and CSA International for use with potable water, making it applicable in both process and water service installations. It performs reliably with a broad range of acids, alcohols, alkalis, salt solutions, and halogens.
Designed as an OEM-compatible Schedule 80 PVC flange fitting for 8-inch PVC piping systems in industrial chemical process, water treatment, and general fluid handling applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial pipefitter in accordance with applicable plumbing codes and the IPEX installation guidelines for Schedule 80 PVC systems. Depressurize and drain the piping system completely before removing or installing flanged components. Use only compatible PVC solvent cement and primer rated for Schedule 80 applications; do not use adhesives intended for Schedule 40 only. Bolt torque should follow flange gasket and fastener manufacturer recommendations to avoid cracking the flange hub.
