The IPEX 36344 is a 1/2 inch PVC Schedule 80 two-piece flange fitting designed for industrial and commercial piping systems handling corrosive media. Manufactured to Schedule 80 dimensional standards, this flange provides the wall thickness and pressure rating required for chemical process lines, water treatment systems, and industrial fluid handling applications. PVC construction delivers full immunity to rust, pitting, scale, and corrosion, and the smooth interior bore resists buildup across a wide range of service fluids. Plumbers and pipefitters working on chemical process or industrial piping systems install this fitting as a reliable, low-maintenance alternative to metal flanges.
This flange is suited for residential and commercial applications where corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility are priorities. It performs in systems conveying most acids, alcohols, alkalis, salt solutions, and halogens. The two-piece design simplifies installation and allows for easier alignment during makeup. Rated for a maximum service temperature of 140 degrees F in pressure service and 180 degrees F for intermittent gravity flow, it fits within the thermal limits of standard PVC chemical and water service piping. NSF and CSA International listing confirms suitability for potable water service as well.
Designed as an OEM-style Schedule 80 PVC flange fitting for 1/2 inch piping systems in chemical process, industrial fluid handling, and potable water applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter familiar with PVC solvent-cement jointing procedures per applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the piping system fully before disassembly or fitting installation. Use only PVC-compatible solvent cement and primer rated for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not exceed the rated service temperature for the pressure class in use.
