The IPEX 36192 is an 8-inch PVC Schedule 80 90-degree elbow with socket-by-socket connections, designed for use in industrial and commercial piping systems. Built to Schedule 80 dimensional standards, this elbow provides a direction change in high-pressure or chemically aggressive service lines. The interior bore remains smooth across a wide range of services, resisting rust, scale, pitting, and corrosion. The fitting handles a maximum service temperature of 140 degrees F in pressure service and up to 180 degrees F during intermittent gravity flow. Licensed plumbers and industrial piping contractors install this fitting in process piping, water treatment, and chemical handling applications.
This elbow is suited for residential, commercial, and industrial installations where chemical resistance and long service life are required. Common applications include chemical process lines, industrial fluid handling, and potable water distribution systems. The fitting is listed with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) and CSA International for use with potable water. Its resistance to most acids, alcohols, alkalis, salt solutions, and halogens makes it a practical choice for demanding process environments where metal fittings would corrode or require excessive maintenance.
Designed as an OEM-style Schedule 80 PVC fitting compatible with 8-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe and socket-end fittings used in industrial, chemical process, and potable water piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified industrial piping contractor in accordance with applicable codes, including the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where adopted. Shut off all flow and depressurize the system before cutting into an existing line. Use only PVC-rated solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 fittings, and allow full cure time before returning the system to service. Do not apply heat to reshape or force-fit this fitting.
