The IPEX 36149 is a 2-inch PVC Schedule 80 45-degree elbow with socket-by-socket end connections. It is used to change flow direction in industrial and commercial piping systems where elevated pressure ratings and chemical resistance are required. Schedule 80 PVC provides greater wall thickness than Schedule 40, delivering higher pressure capacity within the same nominal pipe size. The fitting is rated for service up to 140 degrees F under pressure and up to 180 degrees F for intermittent gravity-flow applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in process piping, chemical distribution, and industrial fluid-handling systems.
This elbow is suited for industrial process piping, chemical handling lines, water treatment systems, and other applications where corrosion resistance and long service life are priorities. The socket connections accept standard 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe and are solvent-welded per standard procedures. It is also listed for use with potable water systems under NSF and CSA International standards, making it appropriate for both process and water-service installations. The smooth interior bore maintains consistent flow characteristics across a wide range of service conditions.
Designed for use with 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe systems using solvent-weld socket connections in industrial process, chemical handling, and potable water piping applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters using standard PVC solvent cement and primer appropriate for Schedule 80 fittings. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing piping. Follow solvent-weld cure times specified by the cement manufacturer before returning the line to service. Installations involving potable water must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and NSF listing requirements.
