The IPEX 36145 is a 3/4 inch PVC Schedule 80 45-degree elbow with socket x socket end connections. It is used to change flow direction in industrial and commercial pressure piping systems where chemical resistance and mechanical strength are required. Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure ratings than Schedule 40, making it the standard choice for process piping, chemical handling, and industrial fluid systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in systems that demand reliable performance in corrosive service environments. The fitting is rated for potable water service under NSF and CSA International listings.
This elbow is suited for industrial process piping, chemical feed systems, water treatment applications, and commercial plumbing installations. The 45-degree angle allows gradual directional changes in tight runs, reducing turbulence compared to sharper elbows. It is compatible with Schedule 80 PVC pipe and fittings in 3/4 inch size. The smooth interior bore resists rust, scale, pitting, and corrosion across a broad range of service fluids including acids, alcohols, alkalis, salt solutions, and halogens.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard component for 3/4 inch Schedule 80 PVC pressure piping systems using solvent-cement socket connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable codes such as the IPC and ASTM D2467 socket fitting standards. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into any existing line. Use only PVC Schedule 80-rated solvent cement and primer; do not mix with CPVC cement. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer before returning the system to service.
