The IPEX 300p8090dsch80elb is a 3-inch Schedule 80 PVC conduit 90-degree elbow with plain ends, designed for use in electrical raceway systems that require heavier wall construction and greater impact resistance than Schedule 40 fittings. Schedule 80 PVC provides increased wall thickness, making this elbow suitable for exposed installations, mechanical rooms, and industrial environments where conduit is subject to physical contact or abuse. Electricians use this fitting to change conduit direction by 90 degrees in both underground and above-grade conduit runs. Plain ends accept solvent-weld connections for a secure, permanent joint.
This elbow is used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where rigid PVC conduit systems require direction changes. It is appropriate for indoor and outdoor above-grade applications, direct-burial runs, and encased concrete installations where Schedule 80 wall thickness meets code or specification requirements. The 3-inch trade size accommodates larger conduit runs typical in panel feeders, service entrances, and high-capacity branch circuits.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 3-inch Schedule 80 rigid PVC electrical conduit systems installed per applicable NEC requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before beginning work. Clean conduit and fitting mating surfaces thoroughly before applying solvent cement, and allow adequate cure time before pulling wire. Do not use this fitting as a structural support member.
