The IPEX 300200prb is a PVC Schedule 40 conduit reducer bushing designed to transition a 3-inch bell fitting down to a 2-inch spigot connection. This bell-to-spigot configuration allows electricians and conduit installers to reduce conduit run diameter within a raceway system without additional adapters. Constructed from non-metallic PVC, the bushing resists corrosion and is suited for underground, direct burial, and above-grade conduit installations where Schedule 40 fittings are specified.
This reducer bushing is used in electrical conduit systems where a change in conduit size is required between sections of a run. Typical applications include transitioning between main conduit trunks and branch conduit runs in residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring installations. The bell-end receives the larger conduit, while the spigot end inserts into a compatible 2-inch fitting or conduit section, providing a secure solvent-cement joint.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with PVC Schedule 40 electrical conduit systems requiring a 3-inch bell to 2-inch spigot reduction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before beginning any fitting work. Use the appropriate PVC conduit solvent cement and primer for a code-compliant joint. Allow full cure time before pulling wire or pressurizing the conduit system.
