The IPEX 257035 is a 4-inch flame-retardant polypropylene (FRPP) 90-degree elbow designed for chemical and acid waste drainage systems. Part of the Enfield electrofusion-joint system, this fitting uses a fusion-socket connection on one end and a spigot on the other, allowing fast and reliable integration into corrosive waste piping networks. FRPP construction gives it an operating temperature range of -10 degrees F to 212 degrees F, making it compatible with high-temperature flush cycles including boiling water. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this fitting in laboratory, industrial, and institutional drain systems where chemical resistance and joint integrity are critical.
The IPEX 257035 is suited for non-return-air plenum chemical waste applications in both commercial and institutional settings. The Enfield system is commonly specified in schools, hospitals, labs, and manufacturing facilities where corrosive drainage must be handled safely. The fusion-joint process creates a secure, leak-resistant connection in approximately 2 minutes using a microprocessor-controlled Enfusion unit, which ensures joint consistency and repeatability across multiple connections made in a single session.
Designed for use within the IPEX Enfield electrofusion piping system for corrosive and acid waste drainage. Pipe and fittings in the Enfield line are matched to one another to ensure dimensional consistency and reliable fusion. The system meets ASTM F1412 specifications for polyolefin pipe and fittings used in corrosive waste drainage systems.
Installation requires a microprocessor-controlled Enfusion unit to complete the electrofusion joint — do not attempt fusion with non-compatible controllers. Shut off all flow and verify the system is depressurized before making any connections. This fitting is intended for licensed plumbers or mechanical contractors working under applicable plumbing codes, including IPC and local authority requirements. Pipe and spigot surfaces must be clean and dry before fusion to ensure a sound joint.
