The IPEX 112pca is a PVC Schedule 40 conduit end cap sized for 1-1/2 inch conduit. It seals the open end of a Schedule 40 PVC conduit run, blocking moisture, debris, and pests from entering the raceway. This fitting is a standard component in electrical conduit systems installed in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications. Electricians use it during rough-in and finish stages to cap unused conduit ends or protect wiring during construction phases. The rigid PVC construction resists corrosion and is compatible with standard solvent-cement joining methods used throughout Schedule 40 PVC conduit systems.
This end cap is suited for use in direct-buried, concrete-encased, and above-grade conduit installations where Schedule 40 PVC conduit is specified. It is commonly installed at panel knockouts, pull box entries, or at the terminal end of a conduit stub-out where wire has not yet been pulled. Electricians and electrical contractors performing raceway work to NEC requirements will find this a standard field fitting.
Designed as a standard end cap for 1-1/2 inch Schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize any circuits in the affected raceway before working on the conduit system. Apply PVC solvent cement to both the conduit end and the interior of the cap fitting for a secure, watertight bond. Allow adequate cure time before subjecting the joint to mechanical stress or burial.
