The IPEX 100p8090dsch80elb is a 1-inch Schedule 80 PVC conduit 90-degree elbow with plain ends, designed for use in electrical raceway systems where additional wall thickness and impact resistance are required. Constructed from rigid PVC, this standard-radius elbow provides a smooth, sweeping 90-degree change of direction for electrical conduit runs. Schedule 80 construction offers a heavier wall than Schedule 40, making it well suited for exposed, below-grade, and high-traffic installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of a complete PVC conduit system.
This elbow is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations where PVC conduit is the raceway of choice. Common applications include direct-burial runs, concrete encasement, outdoor exposed conduit, and corrosive-environment wiring systems. The plain-end configuration accepts solvent-weld PVC conduit couplings and fittings, allowing integration into standard Schedule 80 PVC raceway assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 1-inch Schedule 80 PVC electrical conduit systems using solvent-weld plain-end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the raceway before beginning conduit work. Use a compatible PVC solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 conduit fittings and allow full cure time before pulling wire. Avoid applying mechanical stress to the joint before the cement has fully set.
