The IPEX 100p4022-1/2dsch40elbow is a 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC conduit elbow with a 22.5-degree bend angle and plain end terminations. It is used to route electrical conduit runs through shallow directional changes in residential and commercial wiring installations. The plain end design accepts standard solvent-cement connections, making it compatible with Schedule 40 PVC conduit fittings of the same trade size. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of rigid PVC conduit systems where a gradual offset is required without a full 45- or 90-degree sweep.
This elbow is suited for underground, direct burial, and above-grade exposed conduit installations where PVC is the specified raceway material. The 22.5-degree angle is commonly used to navigate around structural obstructions or to align conduit runs with offset entry points at junction boxes, panels, or equipment enclosures. It fits into standard PVC Schedule 40 conduit systems in both residential and light commercial electrical work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 1-inch Schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit systems.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 352 governing rigid PVC conduit. De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before beginning work. Use approved PVC solvent cement and primer on plain end connections and allow adequate cure time before pulling wire. Do not apply heat or flame to PVC conduit fittings during bending or installation.
