The IPEX 100034prb is a Schedule 40 PVC conduit reducer bushing designed to transition from a 1-inch bell end to a 3/4-inch spigot end within electrical conduit runs. Made from non-metallic PVC, this bell-to-spigot configuration allows a technician to reduce conduit size at a junction box, enclosure knockout, or coupling without adding extra fittings. It is a standard fitting in electrical conduit installations where raceway sizing changes between sections. Electricians and electrical contractors use this fitting in both indoor and outdoor conduit systems where Schedule 40 PVC is the specified raceway material.
This reducer bushing is suited for residential and light commercial electrical conduit applications. It fits into Schedule 40 PVC conduit systems at points where the run steps down from 1-inch to 3/4-inch trade size. Typical install scenarios include panel feeders, branch circuit runs, and exposed or embedded conduit where a size reduction is needed at a box or enclosure entry point.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for Schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit systems requiring a 1-inch to 3/4-inch bell-to-spigot reducer bushing.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for PVC conduit systems. De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before beginning work. Solvent-cement the spigot end into the mating hub using PVC conduit cement rated for Schedule 40 fittings; do not use pipe-grade cement intended for pressure water systems. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before pulling wire.
