The INTERTAPE POLYMER GROUP 9202-B is a UL723-listed aluminum foil tape designed for sealing, repairing, and joining metal surfaces in HVAC, construction, and light fabrication applications. The tape measures 2 inches wide by 50 yards long and carries an ASTM E84 rating for flame spread and smoke development, making it suitable for installations where fire-safety codes apply. Its aggressive pressure-sensitive adhesive bonds firmly to metal, foil-faced insulation, and similar substrates while blocking odors and moisture from passing through the seam. HVAC technicians, sheet metal workers, and general contractors are the primary installers.
This tape is well suited for ductwork sealing, gutter repair, automotive body patching, and general metal repair across residential and commercial settings. It performs across a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 225 degrees F, covering the thermal cycling demands of most forced-air duct systems and exterior metal applications. The roll is shrink wrapped with a top label for easy identification on the job site or at the supply counter. Meets HUD and BOCA building codes for applicable installations.
Designed for use on ductwork, gutters, automotive body panels, and general metal repair surfaces where a UL723-listed foil tape is required.
Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians or sheet metal workers as part of duct sealing or metal repair work. Clean and dry all surfaces before applying the tape to ensure full adhesive contact. For duct applications, follow applicable mechanical codes and any local authority having jurisdiction requirements for duct sealing methods. Avoid stretching the tape during application, as this can reduce long-term adhesion at joints.
