The INTELLINET 560641 is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ switch designed to deliver both data and electrical power over standard Cat5e or Cat6 cabling. It supports the IEEE 802.3at standard, providing up to 30 watts per port with a total PoE power budget of 140 watts. The switch handles network speeds up to 1000 Mbps across all eight ports and is suited for installation by network technicians and low-voltage contractors in commercial and light commercial environments. Short circuit, overload, and high-voltage protection are built in to safeguard connected equipment.

This switch is used in network infrastructure deployments where powered endpoints such as wireless access points, VoIP phones, and IP security cameras need both data connectivity and power delivered over a single cable run. It eliminates the need for separate power adapters or electrical rewiring at each device location, making it practical for installations in ceilings, wall cavities, and other locations where AC outlets are not accessible.
