The INTELLINET 508261 is an 8-port gigabit PoE+ industrial-grade managed switch designed for demanding network infrastructure deployments. It delivers up to 240 watts of total PoE power budget across its eight RJ-45 ports, with compliance to both IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) and IEEE 802.3af (PoE) standards. Two additional SFP uplink ports support fiber or copper gigabit connections for backbone or long-distance runs. The unit is housed in an IP40-rated metal enclosure and mounts to a standard DIN rail, making it well suited for industrial control panels, building automation systems, and harsh-environment network closets.
This switch is intended for commercial and industrial installations where powered network devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and access control hardware must be connected in environments with limited rack space or elevated dust and vibration exposure. The DIN-rail form factor makes it a natural fit for electrical panels and automation cabinets. Network technicians and systems integrators typically handle installation in these environments, often working alongside electricians and low-voltage contractors.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit option for industrial DIN-rail gigabit PoE+ switches in building automation, surveillance, and access control network infrastructure.
Installation should be performed by a qualified network technician or low-voltage systems integrator familiar with industrial switching equipment. De-energize the control panel or cabinet before mounting the unit to the DIN rail and making any wiring connections. Verify that the total connected PoE load does not exceed the 240W power budget before powering on powered devices. Installations in commercial or industrial facilities may be subject to local low-voltage and electrical codes — consult applicable standards before commissioning.
