The INGERSOLL RAND 7S60L is a pneumatic handheld disc sander built for demanding surface preparation and finishing work in industrial, automotive, and fabrication environments. Powered by compressed air, it delivers 6,000 RPM at 0.80 horsepower and requires 22 CFM of air consumption to operate at full capacity. The tool accepts 7-inch sanding discs and connects to a shop air supply through a 1/4 NPT inlet. It is designed for use by professional tradespeople, machinists, and fabricators who require consistent, high-speed material removal or surface finishing on metal, composite, or other rigid substrates.
This disc sander is suited for both fixed-bench setups and on-site applications where access to a compressed air supply is available. Typical applications include weld preparation, rust and paint removal, surface leveling, and finish grinding on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 7-inch disc size provides a broad working surface that reduces pass count on larger workpieces. It is well suited for automotive body shops, metal fabrication facilities, shipyards, and general industrial maintenance operations where air tool performance and durability are expected.
Designed for use with standard 7-inch abrasive sanding discs compatible with pneumatic disc sanders. Requires a compressed air supply capable of delivering at minimum 22 CFM at the appropriate operating pressure.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with pneumatic tool safety practices. Verify that the air supply line, fittings, and compressor output meet or exceed the 22 CFM requirement before connecting the tool. Always depressurize and disconnect the air supply before changing sanding discs or performing any maintenance. Use appropriate eye protection, hearing protection, and dust control measures in accordance with applicable workplace safety regulations when operating high-speed abrasive tools.
