The INGERSOLL CUTTING TOOLS 6212379 is a CNMG-style solid carbide turning insert designed for general turning operations on steel workpieces. It carries the TT8125B manufacturer grade with a multilayer CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and TiN, delivering wear resistance and thermal stability at the cutting edge. The insert features a diamond shape with an 80-degree included angle, a 0.0310-inch corner radius, and a negative rake geometry. Four cutting edges are available per insert, and the PC chip breaker geometry controls chip flow across a range of feed and depth conditions. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers.

This insert is suited for external and internal turning, facing, and profiling operations on steel in production machining environments, both job-shop and high-volume.
