The INGERSOLL CUTTING TOOLS 5813373 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation AOMT060208R IN2530. It is a single-sided, right-hand parallelogram-style insert designed for use in shoulder and face milling operations. The insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual-layer coating in the IN2530 manufacturer grade, which targets cutting performance in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials. With a positive rake geometry and a sharp cutting edge style, it is sized at 0.228 inches long, 0.166 inches wide, and 0.103 inches thick, with a 1/32-inch corner radius. Installation is by screw-clamp holding method. This insert is used by machinists and CNC tooling specialists in production and job-shop environments.
The 5813373 insert is suited for milling applications where tight tolerances and demanding workpiece materials are common. Its positive rake design reduces cutting forces on harder materials such as stainless steels and titanium-based superalloys. The insert fits cutter bodies in the AOMT series and is compatible with the cutter series designations listed below. With two cutting edges per insert and no chip breaker geometry, it is optimized for sharp, clean entry cuts on P, M, and S material classification workpieces per ISO material coding. It is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes where the IN2530 grade is specified by the tooling application.
Compatible with AOMT series cutter bodies, specifically cutter series 12_1D, 12J1D, and 22J3D as specified by the manufacturer. Conforms to ANSI and ISO standards under designation AOMT060208R IN2530.
This insert is installed and replaced by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing inserts. Use the manufacturer-specified torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw - do not overtighten, as carbide inserts are brittle and can fracture under excess clamping force. Inspect the pocket seating surface for chips or debris before installing a new insert.
