The INGERSOLL CUTTING TOOLS 5614619 is a solid carbide round milling insert in the RJLT series, designed for high-performance metal removal in milling applications. Manufactured to ANSI and ISO standards under grade IN2540, this insert features a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) TiAlN and TiN dual-layer coating for extended tool life and heat resistance. The insert measures 20.00 mm (0.7874 inches) in diameter with a 7.00 mm (0.2756 inches) thickness and provides a 10.00 mm corner radius and a maximum depth of cut of 10.00 mm. It uses a positive rake geometry with a chamfered cutting edge and is screw-held, single-sided, with four cutting edges per insert. Installation is performed by machinists and tooling specialists using compatible milling cutter bodies.
This insert is suited for milling steel and cast iron workpieces in both roughing and finishing operations where controlled depth of cut and chip management are priorities. The neutral hand orientation makes it adaptable to a range of milling setups. It is compatible with the 1A7M cutter series and is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units per purchase. The fine and medium grain carbide substrate supports consistent cutting performance across varying feed rates and cutting speeds typical in production machining environments.
Designed for use with the 1A7M cutter series. Compatible cutter bodies must accept RJLT-style screw-held round inserts with a 20 mm inscribed circle. Verify cutter pocket specifications before installation.
This insert is installed and replaced by machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer to secure the clamping screw to the recommended torque per the cutter body documentation. Inspect the insert pocket seat for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
