The INGERSOLL CUTTING TOOLS 5100133 is a replaceable drill tip designed for precision drilling and spot drilling operations in steel workpieces. Built from solid carbide with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, this tip delivers hardness and heat resistance suited to demanding metal-cutting environments. It carries an IN2005 manufacturer grade with a P15-P30 material grade classification. The 140-degree point angle and helical flute geometry promote clean entry and efficient chip evacuation. Cutting diameter is 14.00 mm, and the tip seats into an insert seat size 13 holder using a clamp-style insert holding method. This tip is part of the YAB series.
The 5100133 is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and modular drilling systems where replaceable-tip carbide drills are specified. Its primary application is spot drilling and through-hole drilling in steel. The P-class workpiece material rating makes it well suited for carbon steels, alloy steels, and similar ferrous materials commonly encountered in production machining. The two-flute helical design supports stable cutting at typical drilling feeds and speeds for solid carbide tooling in steel. This tip does not feature coolant-through capability, so external coolant or air blast is used for chip and heat management.
Designed for use with YAB-series replaceable-tip drill bodies accepting insert seat size 13. Compatible ISO number reference is NXXF53R03 IN2005. Verify seat size and series compatibility with the drill body before installation.
Installation of replaceable drill tips should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or seating the tip. Clean the seat and clamping surfaces of the drill body before inserting the new tip to ensure proper seating and runout accuracy. Follow the drill body manufacturer torque specifications for the clamping mechanism; do not overtighten or use improvised tools on the clamp fastener.
