The INFICON IN-721-202-G1 is an electronic refrigerant leak detector designed for HVAC/R technicians working across residential, commercial refrigeration, and industrial applications. Building on the D-TEK platform, this unit features an easy-to-change sensor, a quick-charge lithium ion battery with up to 10 hours of runtime, and an ergonomic housing that supports extended use during routine RAC maintenance and service calls. An optional CO2 sensor module allows the unit to double as a carbon dioxide leak detector, giving technicians a two-in-one instrument from a single tool. The IN-721-202-G1 is built for daily use in the field.
This leak detector is suited for refrigeration service work in residential and industrial environments. Technicians use it during system commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to locate refrigerant leaks in split systems, chillers, walk-in refrigeration equipment, and similar HVAC/R installations. The ergonomic design reduces hand fatigue during extended searches, and the field-replaceable sensor minimizes downtime when sensitivity degrades over time.
Designed as an OEM-style electronic leak detector for use in residential, commercial refrigeration, and industrial HVAC/R service applications.
This instrument is used by licensed HVAC/R technicians and does not require hardwired installation. Before beginning a leak search, recover system pressure to a safe working level per EPA Section 608 guidelines and ensure the area is adequately ventilated. Follow the manufacturer calibration and warm-up procedure before each use to ensure accurate detection. Replace the sensor according to the manufacturer schedule or when sensitivity noticeably decreases.
