The IMPORT C52000432 is a No. 8 pan head Phillips sheet metal screw designed for fastening sheet metal and light-gauge materials in trade and industrial applications. Measuring 2 inches in length under the head, it features a Type AB point for self-starting penetration without pre-drilling into thin metal. Constructed from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish, this screw resists corrosion in typical indoor and light-exposure environments. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers during ductwork fabrication, electrical enclosure assembly, and equipment panel installation.
This screw is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a reliable, corrosion-resistant fastener is needed to join sheet metal components. Typical uses include securing HVAC duct sections, electrical junction box covers, equipment access panels, and metal framing elements. The pan head profile provides a broad bearing surface and low-profile sit, making it appropriate for installations where flush or recessed fastening is not required. Sold in minimum order quantities of 50 per order.
Designed as a standard No. 8 sheet metal screw suitable for use with thin-gauge steel panels, HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, and similar sheet metal assemblies where a Type AB point and pan head profile are specified.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians, electricians, or sheet metal workers using a Phillips-tip screwdriver or power driver set to appropriate torque to avoid stripping the head. Ensure the mating material is properly supported and clamped before driving to prevent misalignment. Power down any electrical equipment before fastening panels or enclosures per applicable NEC guidelines. Do not overdrive, as Grade 2 steel screws may shear if excessive force is applied.
