The Weldon flat shank with three flats locks securely into compatible chucks to prevent slipping under torque. At 4.25 inches overall length with a 2.6875-inch flute, this bit suits applications where a jobber-length bit would be too long for confined spaces or short-reach drilling fixtures. Right-hand spiral flutes clear chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole operations.
