The IMPORT BD3017 is a Type 1 (straight profile) aluminum oxide cut-off wheel designed for cutting operations on steel. Measuring 3 inches in diameter and 1/16 inches thick with a 1/4 inches arbor hole, this wheel is fiberglass-reinforced for added structural integrity during high-speed cutting. Rated at a maximum of 25,450 RPM, it carries an A46S specification — 46 grit aluminum oxide with an S-hardness bond — making it well-suited for aggressive, fast cuts on mild steel and similar ferrous materials. It is used by metalworkers, pipefitters, electricians, and HVAC technicians for cutting pipe, conduit, rod, and sheet stock.

This cut-off wheel is intended for use on small angle grinders and rotary tools that accept a 1/4 inches arbor.
