The IMPORT -22353-B is a jobber length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metal, wood, plastic, and similar materials. Built from high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this bit delivers reliable performance in hand drills and drill presses alike. It measures 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) in diameter with a 118-degree standard point angle and a right-hand spiral flute. At 1-7/8 inches overall length with a 7/8-inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and handles common light-duty boring tasks. The web-thinned, tapered web design reduces entry resistance at the drill point. HVAC techs, plumbers, electricians, and general tradespeople keep this size on hand for pilot holes, sheet metal, and conduit work.
This bit suits residential and light commercial trade applications where a small-diameter, general-purpose drill bit is needed. It is commonly used for pilot holes in sheet metal panels, junction boxes, electrical enclosures, plastic fittings, and light structural members. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard 3-jaw chucks across cordless drills, corded drills, and bench drill presses. It is sold individually (package quantity of 1) with a minimum order quantity of 12 units, making it practical for shop stocking or service van kits.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber length drill bit compatible with standard 3-jaw drill chucks accepting a 1/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank, suitable for use in cordless and corded hand drills and bench drill presses.
Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in the chuck before operation and verify the bit runs true with no visible wobble. Use appropriate drill speed for the material being drilled — smaller diameter bits require higher RPM and lighter feed pressure to avoid breakage. When drilling metal, use a center punch to locate the hole before starting. Inspect the bit tip for chipping or dulling before each use, as small-diameter HSS bits are susceptible to breakage under side load or excessive feed force.
