The IMPORT -20908-10 is a mechanics-length, high-speed steel (HSS) twist drill bit designed for general-purpose metal drilling in shop and field applications. It measures 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) in diameter with a 135-degree split point that self-centers on contact, reducing the need for a center punch and minimizing walking on hard surfaces. The oxide finish provides basic lubricity and corrosion resistance. At 3 inches overall length, this is a compact mechanics-length bit suited for work in tight clearance areas. Right-hand cut with a regular spiral flute and web-thinned geometry for reduced thrust. Installed and used by machinists, millwrights, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general maintenance trades.

This bit is intended for drilling carbon steel, cast iron, high alloy steel, high tensile strength alloys, stainless steel, and general steel stock. The mechanics-length format makes it appropriate for use in hand drills, drill presses, and CNC drill fixtures where stub-length reach and rigidity are priorities. The split point and web-thinned design reduce heat buildup and improve chip evacuation when working through harder ferrous materials. Coolant-through capability is not supported by this bit.
