The IMPERIAL MFG GROUP USA INC KK0284-A is a 32 oz gray, heavy-bodied silicate cement formulated for high-temperature repair and sealing applications in solid-fuel and gas-fired heating appliances. This stove and furnace cement withstands continuous service temperatures up to 2,700 degrees F (1,482 degrees C), making it suitable for the extreme heat environments found inside fireboxes, flue connections, and furnace casings. It bonds and seals both metal-to-metal and metal-to-masonry joints. HVAC service technicians, chimney professionals, and experienced DIYers apply this product during repair and maintenance of wood stoves, coal stoves, furnaces, and fireplaces.
This cement is used in residential and light-commercial heating system repair work. Typical applications include patching cracked refractory joints, resealing flue collar connections, and restoring deteriorated mortar joints around fireplace insert frames. It is especially suited for areas where standard mortar or RTV silicone would fail due to high radiant heat exposure. Installations involving B-vent, single-wall flue pipe transitions, and cast-iron stove door frames are common use cases for this product type.
Designed as an OEM-style repair compound for wood stoves, coal stoves, furnaces, fireplaces, and flue systems requiring high-temperature cement bonding and sealing.
Application should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or chimney professional where code compliance is required. Allow the appliance to cool completely and shut off all fuel supplies before beginning any repair work involving cement application. Follow all applicable NFPA, IFGC, and local code requirements for flue and combustion appliance repairs. Do not fire the appliance at full capacity immediately after application; allow the cement to cure gradually through a low-heat break-in cycle per the manufacturer instructions.
