The Imperial Mfg Group USA Inc GV0298-C is a 7-inch adjustable 90-degree galvanized furnace elbow designed for use in residential HVAC duct systems. Fabricated from 24-gauge galvanized steel, this fitting provides a rigid, corrosion-resistant connection at right-angle transitions in warm-air furnace ductwork. The adjustable design allows installers to fine-tune the fit during assembly without cutting or fabricating custom pieces on site. Licensed HVAC sheet metal mechanics and duct installers use this type of fitting when routing supply or return air through tight spaces or directional changes in forced-air systems.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air heating applications where standard 7-inch round duct transitions are required. It is commonly installed at furnace collar connections, trunk-to-branch takeoffs, or anywhere a 90-degree directional change is needed in the round duct run. The galvanized finish makes it appropriate for both conditioned and unconditioned spaces such as basements, crawlspaces, and attic installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for residential and light commercial forced-air furnace duct systems requiring a 7-inch, 90-degree round duct elbow connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified sheet metal installer in accordance with local mechanical codes and SMACNA ductwork standards. Power down the furnace and set the thermostat to off before working on any connected ductwork. Secure the elbow to adjacent duct sections with sheet metal screws and seal all joints with UL-listed foil tape or mastic sealant to maintain system efficiency and prevent air leakage. Do not compress or distort the elbow during installation, as this will restrict airflow and reduce system performance.
