The IDEAL INDUSTRIES 30-341 is a flame-retardant twist-on wire connector rated for 22 to 8 AWG solid or stranded copper and aluminum conductors. Built on a thermoplastic polyester shell with a live-action square wire steel spring, this connector is designed for the rigors of daily commercial and residential wiring work. The swept wing and ribbed shell give electricians a secure grip during installation, reducing hand fatigue on repetitive tasks. The expanding shell delivers smooth, progressive tightening across a wide range of conductor combinations, including solid-to-stranded pairings that typically cause problems with lesser connectors. It is rated at 600 VAC and 221 degrees F.
The 30-341 is used in residential and light commercial electrical work, including branch circuit terminations, lighting installations, lighting retrofits, and general conductor joining or insulating applications. Its compatibility with both copper and aluminum wire makes it useful across a broad range of field conditions. The 0.54-inch diameter by 1.14-inch height profile fits standard wire cavities in junction boxes and fixture housings. The 1/2-inch wire strip specification helps technicians prep conductors quickly and consistently before termination.
Suitable for insulating or joining one or more conductors in lighting installation and retrofit applications. Accepts aluminum and copper wire, 22 to 8 AWG solid or stranded. Designed as a standard twist-on replacement connector for residential and light commercial wiring applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit at the breaker and verify absence of voltage with a meter before making any connections. Strip conductors to 1/2 inch per the connector specification, twist the connector clockwise until snug, and confirm a firm mechanical connection by tugging each conductor. Do not exceed the 22 to 8 AWG wire range marked on the connector.
