The IDEAL B2-350JR is a standard twist-on wire connector designed for making secure, reliable splices in copper electrical conductors. The red, flame-retardant shell resists ignition and helps contain heat at the connection point. Rated for up to 600 volts and a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees F, this connector is appropriate for a wide range of branch circuit and fixture wiring applications. Electricians reach for this style of connector on residential, commercial, and light industrial jobs where a fast, tool-free wire termination is required. Each package contains 350 connectors, making it a practical bulk supply for ongoing service work or new construction.
The B2-350JR is suited for use on solid and stranded copper conductors starting at 2 AWG minimum. It is commonly used when splicing branch circuit wiring in junction boxes, outlet boxes, and fixture canopies. The 600-volt rating covers standard residential and light commercial wiring systems operating at 120, 240, or 277 volts. The flame-retardant shell material is appropriate for installations where code compliance and fire safety are a priority. This connector is installed by licensed electricians and qualified electrical workers on new construction and service and repair work.
Designed as a standard twist-on wire connector for use with copper conductors in electrical splice applications meeting the minimum 2 AWG wire size requirement.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always de-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage with a meter before making any splices or terminations. Strip conductors to the appropriate length, twist conductors together clockwise, then thread the connector onto the bundle with firm clockwise rotation until snug. Do not use these connectors on aluminum conductors unless the product is specifically rated and listed for aluminum.
