The IDEAL 92-212 is a straight, F-type compression coaxial connector designed for terminating RG11 coaxial cable. Compression-style termination creates a secure, weathertight mechanical connection that outperforms twist-on designs in pull-out strength and signal integrity. Each package contains 10 connectors. The 92-212 is installed by electricians, low-voltage technicians, and cable service professionals working on broadband distribution, CATV, and satellite signal runs where a reliable F-type interface is required.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial installations where RG11 coaxial cable is routed for cable television, satellite, or broadband signal distribution. RG11 is a larger-diameter coaxial cable typically used for longer runs or trunk lines where signal loss must be minimized. The straight body orientation makes it appropriate for standard in-line terminations at splitters, amplifiers, wall plates, and equipment ports.
Designed for use with RG11 coaxial cable. Not compatible with RG6 or RG59 cable without the appropriate compression tool and connector sized for those cable types.
Installation requires a compression tool sized for RG11 F-type connectors and a coaxial cable stripper to prepare the cable end to the correct strip dimensions. Low-voltage technicians should verify the cable is stripped to the connector manufacturer's specified dimensions before seating and compressing. Ensure all signal sources are powered down before terminating connectors at active equipment. Work on coaxial signal systems may be subject to local low-voltage wiring codes and NEC Article 820 requirements.
