The IDEAL 83-2351 is a partially insulated circular ring terminal designed for crimp connections on 12 to 10 AWG copper conductors. The terminal body measures 1.167 inches long and 0.512 inches wide, with a 1/4 inch stud size for secure mechanical attachment. The contact is made from brass with a TiN (titanium nitride) plating for corrosion resistance and reliable conductivity. The yellow vinyl insulation sleeve provides partial coverage to protect the wire barrel during termination. Electricians and low-voltage installers use this terminal when making permanent, vibration-resistant wire-to-lug connections in panels, control enclosures, and equipment wiring applications. Each package contains 25 terminals.
This ring terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical work where 12 or 10 AWG conductors require a secure, reusable fastening point at a stud or screw terminal. Typical applications include panel wiring, ground connections, motor control equipment, and general electrical assemblies. The 1/4 inch stud size fits a wide range of standard terminal blocks, bus bars, and equipment lugs. Compatible wire cross-sections range from 4.00 to 6.00 square millimeters for those working in metric-spec environments.
Designed for use with 12 to 10 AWG (4.00 to 6.00 sq mm) copper conductors and 1/4 inch stud hardware in standard electrical panel and equipment wiring applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool rated for the appropriate AWG range to achieve a proper mechanical crimp — do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools as an inadequate crimp can result in high-resistance connections or pull-out failures. Inspect the insulation sleeve after crimping to confirm no cracking or displacement.
