The IDEAL 83-2251 is a partially insulated circular ring terminal designed for secure crimp connections on 16 to 14 AWG copper conductors. The terminal body measures 1.055 inches in overall length and 0.394 inches in ring width, with a 1/4-inch stud size for standard lug mounting. The contact is made from brass with a titanium nitride (TiN) plating to resist corrosion and maintain conductivity over time. A blue vinyl insulation sleeve identifies the 16 to 14 AWG wire range at a glance. Electricians and low-voltage installers use this terminal in panel wiring, control circuits, and field device connections where a reliable mechanical and electrical termination is required.
This ring terminal is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work, including control panel builds, motor control wiring, and general branch circuit terminations. The 1/4-inch stud compatibility makes it a common fit for terminal strips, bus bars, and equipment studs found in HVAC control panels, electrical enclosures, and appliance wiring. Each package contains 25 terminals, making it practical for service van stock or small wiring jobs.

Inspect the insulation sleeve after crimping to confirm it has not cracked or pulled back from the barrel.
