The IDEAL 83-0631 is a non-insulated circular ring terminal designed for crimp connections on 4 AWG conductors. The terminal body is made from brass with a titanium nitride (TiN) contact plating, providing reliable conductivity and resistance to corrosion and wear. Measuring 1.319 inches in length and 0.65 inches in ring width, it is sized for 3/8-inch stud mounting. Licensed electricians and electrical maintenance technicians install these terminals in panel wiring, equipment grounding, and heavy-gauge conductor termination work. UL Listed and cUL Listed, with RoHS compliance, the 83-0631 meets standard requirements for commercial and industrial electrical installations.
This ring terminal is suited for applications requiring a secure, permanent crimp termination on 4 AWG wire. Typical use cases include motor control panels, electrical distribution equipment, grounding connections, and similar industrial or commercial wiring assemblies where a non-insulated ring lug is specified. The 3/8-inch stud size accommodates common bus bar and terminal block hardware. Terminals are sold in packages of 20, making them practical for service calls or panel builds requiring multiple terminations.
Designed for crimp termination on 4 AWG conductors (22.00 sq mm) with 3/8-inch stud hardware in commercial and industrial electrical wiring assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the NEC and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or replacing ring lugs. Use a calibrated ratchet crimping tool rated for the wire gauge and terminal type to ensure a gas-tight crimp — do not use pliers or uncalibrated tools as substitutes. Inspect the completed crimp for deformation or wire pullback before torquing to the stud hardware per the equipment manufacturer's specification.
