The IDEAL 83-0241 is a non-insulated circular ring terminal designed for crimp connections on 16 to 14 AWG copper wire. The contact is made from brass with a titanium nitride (TiN) plating for reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. It fits a number 10 stud, measures 0.661 inches in overall length and 0.374 inches in width, and is sold in a package of 25. Electricians and panel technicians use this terminal to create secure, low-resistance ring connections at screw terminals, bus bars, and grounding points in electrical panels, control panels, and equipment wiring harnesses.
This ring terminal is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work where a non-insulated crimp lug is required at a number 10 screw or stud. Typical applications include control wiring, grounding connections, and field wiring terminations in electrical enclosures, HVAC control panels, and motor control centers. The 16 to 14 AWG wire range covers the most common low-voltage and line-voltage control circuit wire gauges used in trade applications.
Designed for use with 16 to 14 AWG copper conductors terminated at number 10 studs or screws. Compatible wire size range in metric is 1.50 to 2.50 sq mm.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified technicians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any conductors. Use a ratcheting crimp tool rated for non-insulated ring terminals in the 16 to 14 AWG range to achieve a gas-tight crimp. Do not solder over a crimped terminal, as this can introduce brittleness and void the UL listing.
