The IDEAL 30-579 is a replacement die set for use with Crimpmaster crimping tools. It is designed for crimping insulated terminals on wire ranging from 22 AWG to 10 AWG. The die set features color-coded nests that allow technicians to quickly identify the correct nest for the wire gauge in use. This is a die-set-only product and does not include the Crimpmaster tool body. Electricians and low-voltage installers use this die set when the original dies are worn or when outfitting an additional Crimpmaster tool for insulated terminal work.

This die set is suited for electrical work involving insulated ring, spade, and similar terminals across a range of wire gauges from 22 AWG to 10 AWG. Compatibility

Designed for use with the IDEAL 30 to 500 series Crimpmaster tool bodies. The die set is not compatible with non-Crimpmaster crimping frames.

Installation Notes

This die set is installed by a licensed electrician or qualified technician into a compatible Crimpmaster tool body. De-energize and lock out all circuits before performing any termination work on live panels or control wiring. Verify that the correct color-coded nest is selected for the wire gauge being terminated before crimping. Inspect the die set for wear or damage before each use and replace if nests show deformation.
