The IDEAL 30-500 is a ratcheting terminal crimper designed for insulated wire terminals ranging from 22 AWG to 10 AWG. It includes the 30-506 Crimpmaster frame and an insulated terminal die set, delivering consistent, repeatable crimps on ring-style insulated terminals. The ratchet mechanism prevents the tool from releasing until the crimp cycle is fully complete, reducing the risk of an under-crimped connection. Color-coded locations on the die set allow technicians to quickly match the correct crimp zone to the wire gauge in use. This tool is used by electricians and low-voltage technicians working on control wiring, panel terminations, and field wiring applications.
The IDEAL 30-500 is suited for residential and commercial electrical work where insulated ring terminals are terminated on wire gauges from 22 AWG through 10 AWG. Typical applications include control panel wiring, motor control circuits, HVAC low-voltage field connections, and general electrical service work. The included Crimpmaster frame and insulated terminal die set make this a self-contained solution for insulated terminal crimping without requiring additional die purchases at the point of use.
Designed for use with insulated wire terminals, ring style, in the 22 AWG to 10 AWG range. Compatible with the 30-506 Crimpmaster frame as included.
This tool is used by licensed electricians and low-voltage technicians. Before terminating any conductors, de-energize the circuit and verify with a meter. Follow NEC requirements for terminal ratings and conductor sizing at the point of termination. Do not use the crimper to terminate wire gauges outside the rated 22 to 10 AWG range, as doing so may result in an incomplete or damaged crimp.
