The IDEAL 2011S is a non-insulated, crimp-on butt splice terminal designed for making secure inline wire-to-wire connections in electrical systems. Constructed from copper, it delivers reliable conductivity at the splice point without added insulation bulk. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use butt splices like the 2011S when joining two conductor ends end-to-end, particularly in panel wiring, control circuits, and field repair work. A proper crimp tool is required to achieve a gas-tight termination. The 2011S ships in a pack of 50, making it practical for production work or service van stock.
This terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical applications where a compact, uninsulated splice is acceptable or where heat-shrink or other protective sleeving will be applied over the connection after crimping. Common use cases include motor control wiring, low-voltage signal circuits, and general wire repair in junction boxes or panel enclosures. The non-insulated design allows visual inspection of the crimp joint after installation.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp-on butt splice terminal for use in residential and commercial electrical wiring applications requiring a non-insulated inline wire connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any splice connection. Use a properly rated crimp tool to compress the terminal onto the stripped conductor ends — do not over-strip wire insulation beyond what the terminal barrel requires. If the splice will be exposed to moisture or mechanical abrasion, apply heat-shrink tubing or appropriate protective sleeving after crimping.
