The INTERNATIONAL COMFORT PRODUCTS pgb460115k000b is a factory-assembled, self-contained packaged gas electric unit combining gas heating and electric cooling in a single cabinet. Rated at 60,000 BTU/h cooling (5 ton) and 115,000 BTU/h heating, it operates on 208/230 volt single-phase power using R-454B refrigerant. It achieves a SEER2 of 13.4, EER2 of 11.05, and an AFUE of 81.0%. The unit arrives pre-wired, pre-piped, and pre-charged, reducing installation time and labor. A factory-installed leak detection dissipation system supports the low-GWP R-454B charge, which is designed to help meet 2025 GWP requirements. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning on residential and light commercial projects.
This unit is designed for rooftop or ground-level installation in residential and light commercial applications requiring year-round conditioned air from a single piece of equipment. The convertible duct configuration supports both downflow and horizontal airflow arrangements. Downflow operation is field-converted using the included horizontal duct covers, allowing vertical ductwork connections without additional special components. The composite base pan resists rust at ground-level installations and incorporates a sloped drain pan to improve drainage and resist mold, algae, and bacterial growth. Metal base rails on the exterior provide stability during handling and rigging.
Designed as an OEM packaged gas electric unit for residential and light commercial rooftop or ground-level installations requiring 208/230 volt single-phase power. Natural gas controls are standard; a field-installed propane conversion kit is available. Units meeting 40 ng/J NOx emissions are suitable for installations in air quality management districts with that requirement.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect all electrical power and shut off the gas supply before beginning any service or installation work. Duct configuration conversion from horizontal to downflow is a field operation completed before the unit is set in place. Refrigerant system work requires EPA Section 608 certification and appropriate recovery equipment.
