The INTERNATIONAL COMFORT PRODUCTS H5H0V48AKAAA is a variable-speed, single-phase heat pump rated at 20 SEER2 efficiency and sized at 4 tons of capacity. It operates on R-454B refrigerant, a lower-GWP A2L refrigerant that is replacing R-410A across modern residential and light-commercial equipment. Rated for 208/230-volt single-phase power, this unit is built for ducted split-system installations where both heating and cooling are required from one outdoor unit. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning of this equipment class.
This heat pump is intended for residential and light-commercial ducted split-system applications requiring high-efficiency, variable-speed operation. The 4-ton capacity fits typical mid-to-large residential structures. Operating on 208/230 volts single-phase, it is well suited for standard residential electrical services. The Heil branding and ICP manufacturing lineage place this unit within the broader ICP product family, which includes compatible indoor air handlers and coil systems designed to meet matched-system efficiency ratings.
Designed as an OEM variable-speed heat pump outdoor unit within the Heil product line, manufactured by ICP. Match with a compatible ICP or Heil indoor air handler or coil rated for R-454B refrigerant and 4-ton capacity to achieve published system efficiency ratings.
Installation must be performed by an EPA Section 608-certified HVAC technician qualified to handle A2L refrigerants, including R-454B, which requires specific safe-handling practices per ASHRAE 15 and applicable local mechanical codes. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the unit or connecting refrigerant lines. Follow the manufacturer installation manual for line set sizing, electrical disconnect sizing, and clearance requirements. Do not use R-410A equipment, tooling, or recovery cylinders with R-454B systems.
