The INTERNATIONAL COMFORT PRODUCTS g80ctl0702120a is a two-stage, variable-speed gas furnace rated at 80% AFUE and 66,000 BTU/h output. It uses an ECM blower motor for efficient, quiet airflow at up to 1,600 CFM. The multipoise cabinet design allows installation in multiple orientations, giving installers flexibility in residential and light-commercial applications. Cabinet air leakage is less than 2.0% at 1.0 inches W.C. and less than 1.4% at 0.5 inches W.C., tested per ASHRAE Standard 193. A licensed HVAC technician handles installation, typically as part of a split or package heating system.
This furnace is suited for residential forced-air heating systems where two-stage operation and communicating controls are required. It supports the ION Communicating Control System and the Observer Communicating Control System, enabling integration with compatible thermostats and system components. The dehumidification feature activates during cooling operation, adding comfort control without additional hardware. Low-NOx units in this line are designed to meet California air quality requirements and comply with 40 ng/J NOx emissions standards, making them eligible for installation in air quality management districts with that emissions threshold.
Supports two-stage cooling units and integrates with the ION Communicating Control System and the Observer Communicating Control System. Designed for Category I venting applications. Low-NOx variant is approved for California installations and air quality management districts requiring 40 ng/J NOx compliance.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer installation instructions. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and shut off the gas supply at the manual shutoff valve before beginning any service or installation work. Category I venting must be installed per applicable code, including ANSI Z223.1 and NFPA 54. Verify that duct system static pressure and airflow are within design limits before commissioning the ECM blower.
