The INTERNATIONAL COMFORT PRODUCTS D5FSCAH24XAK is a 24,000 BTU/h cassette-style indoor unit (IDU) designed for ductless heat pump systems operating on R454B refrigerant. Rated at 230 volts, this unit mounts flush into a ceiling grid, distributing conditioned air in multiple directions for even coverage across the space. It is intended to pair with a compatible outdoor unit as part of a complete ductless heat pump system. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation, commissioning, and refrigerant work. Note that the grille assembly is not included with this unit and must be sourced separately.
This cassette IDU is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a concealed, ceiling-recessed air handler is preferred over a wall-mount or floor-console unit. Typical installations include open-plan offices, retail spaces, hotel rooms, and residential additions where duct runs are impractical. The unit operates on the low-global-warming-potential refrigerant R454B, which aligns with current EPA guidelines for new equipment. Verify that the matched outdoor unit is also rated for R454B before installation.
Designed as an OEM cassette indoor unit for ductless heat pump systems using R454B refrigerant. This unit must be paired with a compatible R454B-rated outdoor unit. Confirm system match through the manufacturer before installation. Grille assembly is sold separately.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before any service work. Ceiling structure must be verified to support the unit weight prior to mounting. Refrigerant line sizing, flare connections, and system commissioning should follow the manufacturer installation instructions and applicable local mechanical codes.
