The International Comfort Products d5cmhah55fak is a 55,000 BTU/h, 6-port high-heat multi-zone outdoor heat pump unit rated for 208-volt operation. Designed for multi-zone residential or light commercial applications, this outdoor condensing unit delivers reliable heating performance in cold climates, with up to 116% heating capacity at 5 degrees F. A built-in base pan heater protects against ice buildup during low-ambient operation. Licensed HVAC technicians install this unit as the outdoor component of a ductless or multi-split system. It carries ENERGY STAR certification and is engineered for quiet operation, rated as low as 61 dB(A).
This unit is suited for multi-zone heating and cooling installations where a single outdoor unit must serve multiple indoor air handlers simultaneously. The 6-port configuration supports up to six zones, making it appropriate for larger residential properties, multi-room commercial suites, or new construction projects requiring flexible zoned climate control. Its high-heat performance at low ambient temperatures makes it a strong candidate for installations in cold-weather regions where standard heat pumps lose capacity.
Designed as an OEM outdoor heat pump unit for use within International Comfort Products multi-zone ductless split systems. Consult ICP system documentation to confirm compatible indoor air handler models and refrigerant line sizing before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with multi-zone refrigerant systems and local mechanical codes. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before handling refrigerant connections or electrical wiring. The unit must be set on a level, stable pad with adequate clearance on all sides per manufacturer and local code requirements. Refrigerant line sizing, evacuation, and charge verification should follow the system engineering guidelines provided with the equipment.
