The INTERNATIONAL COMFORT PRODUCTS d5cmhah24dak is a multi-zone ductless heat pump designed for R-454B (A2L) refrigerant and rated at 24,000 BTU/h. It delivers up to 25 SEER2 and up to 15 EER2, placing it among the higher-efficiency options in the mini-split category. The outdoor condenser connects to between two and six indoor air handlers, making it suited for whole-home or multi-room installations where a single ducted system is impractical. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians certified to handle A2L refrigerants. The unit includes built-in condenser high-temperature protection and refrigerant leakage detection as standard safety features.
The d5cmhah24dak is intended for residential and light-commercial multi-zone applications where independent temperature control across multiple rooms or zones is required. The unit operates on 230-volt power and is part of a product family available in capacities from 18,000 to 60,000 BTU/h, giving contractors flexibility to right-size the outdoor unit for the load. Indoor unit selection and pairing must be confirmed against the manufacturer's approved match list prior to installation.
Designed for use with compatible multi-zone indoor air handlers as specified in the manufacturer's approved match documentation. This outdoor unit is part of a product family available in sizes from 18,000 to 60,000 BTU/h. Verify indoor unit compatibility against the current engineering data before ordering.
This unit must be installed by an EPA 608-certified technician who holds the appropriate certification for A2L refrigerant handling, as R-454B is a mildly flammable refrigerant class. Power must be disconnected at the breaker before any work on electrical connections, and all refrigerant line sets must be leak-tested and evacuated to the manufacturer-specified vacuum level prior to charging. Follow all local mechanical and electrical codes, including NEC requirements for disconnect placement and conductor sizing for 230-volt equipment. Do not substitute refrigerant types or blend with other refrigerants.
