The ICC ICPCSG05GN is a Cat6a FTP (Foiled Twisted Pair) patch cord designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential network environments. At 5 feet in length, this cable provides a reliable, shielded copper connection between network equipment, patch panels, and switches. The Cat6a rating supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet at frequencies up to 500 MHz, making it appropriate for high-density data centers and enterprise-grade network runs. Licensed low-voltage technicians and network cabling contractors are the typical installers for this type of patch cord.
This patch cord is suited for use in server rooms, telecommunications closets, and horizontal cabling applications where shielded cabling is required to minimize electromagnetic interference. The FTP construction provides an overall foil shield around all four twisted pairs, reducing crosstalk and signal degradation in environments with high EMI exposure. Its 5-foot length fits short equipment-to-panel or switch-to-device runs without excess cable management concerns.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard patch cable for Cat6a shielded structured cabling systems using RJ45 terminations.
This patch cord is installed by low-voltage cabling technicians following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Ensure shielded patch panels and keystone jacks are used throughout the cabling run to maintain continuity of the FTP shield. Do not bend the cable beyond its minimum bend radius, as sharp bends can degrade signal performance. Power down connected active equipment before swapping patch cords in live production environments when possible.
