The ICC ICMPP48CP5 is a 48-port, feed-through Cat5e patch panel designed for structured cabling installations in rack or cabinet environments. Feed-through construction eliminates punch-down terminations by accepting field-terminated RJ45 plugs on both the front and rear, simplifying moves, adds, and changes. Rated for Cat5e performance, this panel supports Gigabit Ethernet and other 100 MHz bandwidth applications. At 2U rack height, it consolidates 48 copper data circuits into a standard 19-inch rack space. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors install this panel as a central distribution point in telecommunications rooms and data closets.
The ICMPP48CP5 is suited for commercial and residential structured cabling systems where high port density and simplified administration are required. Feed-through design makes it a practical choice for data centers, server rooms, and IT closets where patch cables connect directly without field termination tools. It fits standard 19-inch EIA equipment racks and two-post or four-post open-frame cabinets.

Installation is performed by low-voltage cabling contractors or network technicians following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Power down or disconnect active network equipment before seating or removing patch cables to avoid link disruption. Secure the panel to the rack using appropriate rack screws before connecting cables. Route patch cables through cable management accessories mounted above or below the panel to maintain bend-radius compliance.
