The ICC ICMPP04860 is a 48-port Cat6 patch panel designed for structured cabling installations in network closets and data distribution frames. Each port uses an 8P8C (RJ45-style) termination interface, supporting Category 6 performance standards for high-speed data and voice applications. The panel provides a centralized, organized cross-connect point between horizontal cabling runs and active network equipment. It is typically installed by low-voltage cabling contractors, IT infrastructure technicians, and licensed electricians performing data cabling work in commercial and residential settings.
The ICMPP04860 is suited for structured cabling deployments in commercial office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, and multi-unit residential applications. The 48-port layout allows a single 1U or 2U rack space to terminate a full horizontal cabling zone. It is used in conjunction with Cat6 keystone jacks, cable managers, and patch cords to complete an end-to-end Cat6 channel. Applications include data network distribution, VoIP phone system cabling, and security system low-voltage infrastructure.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit solution for Cat6 structured cabling installations using 19-inch EIA-standard equipment racks and network cabinets.
Installation should be performed by a qualified low-voltage cabling technician or licensed electrician in accordance with TIA-568 structured cabling standards and applicable local codes. De-energize or disconnect all active network equipment connected to the panel before terminating or re-terminating cable runs. Use a 110-style punch-down tool for IDC terminations at the panel ports, and follow the wiring standard (T568A or T568B) consistently throughout the installation. Do not exceed the minimum bend radius of the horizontal cabling during routing to the panel.
