The ICC ic107y8gwh is an RCA female to IDC modular jack designed to create a clean, low-noise connection point for component video, composite video, and audio systems at a wall outlet or multimedia panel. The module terminates an RCA female connector on the faceplate side to an IDC punchdown connection over UTP cable behind the wall. This configuration lets installers route cables inside walls or cabinetry, eliminating exposed cable runs at the connection point. It features a yellow insulator paired with a white body. Licensed electricians, low-voltage technicians, and AV installers typically handle this type of structured wiring work.
This module is suited for residential and light commercial AV installations where component or composite video and audio signals need to terminate cleanly at a wall plate location. Typical applications include home theater wiring, distributed audio systems, and multimedia outlet installations in new construction or renovation projects where cables are run inside walls or through cabinetry. The yellow insulator color allows quick field identification of signal type or zone at the termination point.
Fully compatible with all modular wall plates and multimedia panels. Available insulator colors include red, green, blue, black, white, and yellow. Body colors available include almond, black, ivory, and white.
Low-voltage or AV installers typically perform this termination work; local codes may require a licensed low-voltage contractor. De-energize or disconnect any associated equipment before terminating signal cables. Use a standard IDC punchdown tool to seat conductors at the IDC block. Verify insulator color coding against the project wiring plan before punching down to avoid signal routing errors.
