The IBERVILLE DAC-1-CG is a Type C conduit body designed for use with 1/2-inch rigid metal conduit and IMC conduit systems. Manufactured from powder coated urethane die-cast aluminum, this conduit body features a straight-side access opening and a screw-on cover in natural stamped, die-cast powder coated aluminum. The C configuration positions two hubs in a straight, in-line arrangement, making it a standard choice for pulling conductors around bends and making accessible splices in conduit runs. Installation is via set screw and threaded hub connection. This unit ships as a combination package that includes the conduit body, cover, and gasket. Licensed electricians and conduit installers are the primary trade for this fitting.
The DAC-1-CG is suited for residential and commercial electrical installations where 1/2-inch rigid metal conduit or IMC conduit is specified. The Type C configuration is commonly installed in straight conduit runs where a mid-run access point is needed for conductor pulling or splicing. The spacious wiring chamber allows adequate working room for conductors. The die-cast aluminum construction and powder coat finish provide durability in exposed or demanding installation environments. The combination packaging of body, cover, and gasket reduces inventory handling at the job site.
Designed for use on rigid metal conduit and IMC conduit systems with 1/2-inch hub size. Approved under UL E28688 and CSA standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify the absence of voltage before opening any conduit body or working in the wiring chamber. Secure all conduit connections fully before pulling conductors. Do not exceed the conduit body fill capacity as defined by NEC Article 314.
